Google certifications are professional accreditations that Google offers to individuals who demonstrate proficiency in basic and advanced aspects of Google’s marketing products. A Google certification allows individuals to demonstrate that Google recognizes them as an expert in a particular area. One can earn the certification through "Academy for Ads", Google’s online training program.


Any member of Google Partners can earn Google’s certifications. Here are the benefits of my being certified:

Demonstrate my expertise. Show current and prospective clients that I’m a certified online marketing professional with a personalized certificate.

Help my company earn the Google Partner or Premier Google Partner badge. To earn either badge, companies need at least one of their affiliated members to be certified, in addition to other requirements.

About my certification status

My Google certifications recognize that I’m a certified online advertising professional.

I received these accreditations after successfully passing multiple exams including the AdWords Fundamentals assessment complemented by the Search Advertising, Display Advertising, Mobile Advertising, and Shopping Advertising assessments administered by “Academy for Ads”.

My Google Ads certifications will remain valid until the assessment expires. When the assessment expires, I’ll need to retake both the Google Ads Fundamentals assessment and the expired assessment to keep my certification. Typically this is done every 1–2 years.
